The hotspot of our tour through the north of the Federal Republic is without a doubt the Hanseatic city of Hamburg. With its flair and maritime charm, the city impresses every time you visit. Start your Hamburg excursion with exploring the top sights such as the Elbphilharmonie, the town hall or the Landungsbrücken. Get up close and personal with the city's history. Culture enthusiasts will undoubtedly get their money's worth. Via the Hamburg motorway junction, you can then head west on the A1 to Bremen. The A7 / E45 takes you north to Flensburg.

If you extend your tour from Hamburg in an easterly direction, there are several Hanseatic cities - like a string of pearls - in front of the radiator of your sports car. Lübeck follows Hamburg with the famous city landmark, the Holstentor. In divided Germany, the inner-German border ran along this route shortly after Lübeck. But that is the past. The next Baltic Hanseatic cities, Wismar and Rostock, can be easily reached via the well-developed infrastructure. The end of the motorway shouldn't prevent you from aiming your sports car at the time-honored Hanseatic city of Stralsund. The historic city center with the maritime museum and the wonderful view from the harbor to the island of Rügen are a special experience. If you still have space in your diary, we recommend a trip over the Rügen dam to Germany's largest island.

Frankfurt am Main is one of the five most populous cities in Germany and an important transport hub in the Federal Republic. People from 178 nations live in the city. The major employers for the South Hesse region include the international Frankfurt airport, the banking and insurance industry and universities such as the renowned Goethe University.

Diversity defines Frankfurt in its varied architecture and the culinary offerings of the chefs from all over the world.

A trip to Frankfurt is worth it! Our recommendation: Park your sports car on the Sachsenhausen Main side. You can reach Frankfurt's old town in style on foot via the “Eiserner Steg”. It's worth the walk: the old town skyline and the skyscrapers of Mainhattan merge to create a unique backdrop. You will then come to the historic town hall, the “Römer”. Short distances lead via the coronation path of German emperors to the “Kaiserdom”. The “New Old Town” adjacent to the cathedral is waiting to be discovered. Chicken market, house “Zum Lämmchen”, the house of Goethe's aunt Melber and the splendid “Libra” bear witness to Frankfurt from bygone days.

After your short stay in Frankfurt, you can take the A3 in a southerly direction to the Odenwald and Bergstrasse. We recommend that you leave the motorway in favor of parallel country roads. Your journey takes you along low mountain roads to ancient Odenwald towns. In front of you lies the Main Franconian Miltenberg am Main with the Franciscan monastery Engelberg. Michelstadt with the count's city palace, historic town hall and the ivory museum, which is unique in the world, enriches this route additionally.

Your way leads you on to the mountain road. Enjoy the interesting variety of winding country roads, lined with vineyards, forests and meadows in your sports car. Small towns like Heppenheim or Weinheim, but also hilltop castles like Melibokus, are embedded in this picture-book landscape.

A significant traffic point on the road map of Germany is the Kirchheim triangle. On the A4 motorway, this route takes you via the former border crossing point Wartha-Herleshausen into the “New Federal States”. From a historical and cultural point of view, Thuringia is extremely remarkable. Our tour to the east of Germany takes you to Eisenach, Erfurt and Weimar.

After the inner-German border, you will cruise through old cultivated land in your sports car. The first important stop on this route is Eisenach. The birthplace of Johann Sebastian Bach invites you to visit the Bach birthplace. The city also plays an important role in the development and production of automobiles in Germany. Visit the "Automobile World Eisenach" and get an insight into German automobile history.

Make sure you plan a visit to the Wartburg-Höhenburg and enjoy the breathtaking ambience.

You and your sports car can get to Erfurt via the Hörselberg. The cathedral and the historic old town invite you to linger before continuing to the UNESCO World Heritage city of Weimar. The vaunted “Ilm Athens” is a hotspot for Germanists, humanists, Goethe friends and architects. Our recommendation: put a cultural accent on this route! Plan an overnight stay in Weimar.

Berlin is the only city in Germany with a population of several million. With its diverse sights such as the seat of government and the various trendy districts, Berlin has the potential for a stopover of several days. Use your sports car for trips to Potsdam in Prussia. Going once over the former agent exchange bridge, the “Glienicke Bridge”, is undoubtedly a cult.

The government district with the Chancellery and the Reichstag building on the banks of the Spree, Kudamm or Alexanderpatz are further stops on this tour that are worth discovering. On your way out to the Spreewald or on the 80-kilometer jaunt to the Polish border, the high-performance engine of your sports car can show what it's made of.

A special treat is waiting for you in the south of Germany. The route over the German Alpine Road is tempting in good weather. Around 450 winding kilometers lie between the two possible starting points. The choice is yours: start your personal tour in Schönau am Königssee or Lindau am Bodensee.

Both directions are well signposted and have their own charm. Your reward are green forests, romantic valleys and villages with picturesque castles, lush alpine meadows, mountain passes and steep mountain peaks. Cities like Lindau on Lake Constance, Pfronten, Füssen in Allgäu, Rottach-Egern, Reit im Winkel or Berchtesgaden are promising destinations on this unique route through the Alps.
